I miss a lot of things about living in Ohio and Oregon, but the sound of rain is the one thing that doesn't find it's way to Santa Barbara very often. I've been fortunate this week in that it has rained 2 of the last 3 days helping me unwind from some pretty disheartening and irritating days of work. It's been nice and relaxing coming home, reading my book and listening to the rain outside.

When it rains there does it last all day? Here it can rain for an hour real hard and be done or a very light rain that can last for a while. We have maybe 2 days that it rained all day, but I think that is about it.

Well, when it does rain it typically does rain for the majority of the day. The rain is rarely a downpour, but more typically a mist. Last weekend though it was rain reminiscent of Oregon.
